October, 2016 – a visit to Lake Corpus Christi SP in TX

I had been here to visit others camping here, but never stayed before. When I realized I was arriving on a Friday, I elected to make it only a one day stay, as this place gets jam-packed on weekends. And by the time I went to bed Friday it appeared most of the open sites had been taken and the place was happening on Saturday! I was glad to head out! But also very glad to have stopped.

I have long given up on getting butterfly pics, but this one wasn't too bad.

Like most Texas State Parks, it’s nice and well taken care of. Unfortunately, unless I’m staying in TX for enough time to take advantage of purchasing their pass so that I can avoid the daily parks fee also, I don’t stay in them often.

Next posts will be from my month stay in south Texas.
